About Me

Hi :) My name is Forrest Dawson. I am a 29-​year-old transgender woman living, ​growing, & working in Los Angeles. I am ​originally from a leafy suburb in Southern ​New Jersey, but I always felt a pull to live ​out my dreams and become the person you ​see today here in California. I have been ​studying & practicing both acting & ​modeling for more than 10 years now. ​However, I consider myself a writer first & ​foremost, discovering the magic of ​storytelling from a young age. I mainly write ​screenplays and personal essays, usually ​with a comedic flair. With them, I aim to ​capture the painful, beautiful, awkward, & ​often humorous aspects of being a trans ​person in this modern world, shedding light ​on both the good and the bad. I approach ​both modeling and performing as I do with ​writing, utilizing my unique and ​unapologetic tone. Beyond my passions, I ​love comic books (both reading and making ​them), dancing not professionally (yet), ​improv (being in a bit 24/7), & mothering ​my spunky little cat, Sagwa (pictured here).
